Here to give a huge shoutout to our entire team that puts their love, care, and attention towards this season, most recent update is we harvested and donated 84lbs of fresh produce to @kennettareacommunityservice , Basil, beets, green beans, jalapeños, cucumbers, zucchini, okra, and cabbage to name a few veggies and herbs included in this part of the szn.

This Carolina Praying Mantis egg casing (aka ootheca) on a citrus branch was quite the mesmerizing find yesterday!

In the coming months this web of thorns will unfurl leaves and hundreds of tiny mantids will emerge!

Spent the last day of the year with this Goddess who brought several types of flower bulbs for the field that we cannot wait to see start growing this year!

Our collective was honored to support the Lenape Nation as we recognize the land we work with was originally cultivated and cared for by their ancestors!

Earlier in the season when asked what they wanted/needed all they requested was some of a three sisters harvest and dried springtime mullein leaves!

(Happy to report we were able to provide both and more!)

Wishing I could magically go back to the beginning of this month before the first frost, but I guess there’s always next year!

Don’t get me wrong, there are still potatoes to be dug up, winter crops and covered salad greens still growing but I miss these raspberries and the strawberries even more…the asparagus still green and soft in my fingers, they’ll all be back in spring.

Our Three Sisters field gave us our first corn harvest yesterday and it was magical!
